Our Vision:
As a lighthouse illuminates the way to safety in a dangerous place, Quest Ministries was established to
share the light of the gospel with the lost, and to equip believers to do the same.
We all know that the solution to many of today's dilemmas will come only through changing the
hearts of people. We, at Quest Ministries, believe that loving people is pivotal to
bringing about that change. Chuck Swindoll recently said, "We do not really have an
in-depth ministry to anyone whom we do not have a relationship." If we are to be
effective today, we must communicate with unbelievers in the context of a meaningful
relationship.
Our commitment must
be to build loving relationships with "outsiders" as a natural bridge in the
communication of one's faith in Christ. Quest is committed to showing believers how to
establish and maintain meaningful relationships that can change the lives of both the
believer and the unbeliever.
Our Local Emphasis:
The
Antelope Valley is incredibly needy. There are over 325,000 residents and only 15 to 20
thousand evangelical church attendees. In addition, most of these evangelicals admit to
being unmotivated and ill equipped to share the message of Christ. Quest Ministries has a
plan and is committed to meeting those needs by equipping individuals across
denominational lines and mobilizing the churches to reach the lost with the true message
of Jesus Christ. Our passion is to see men and women discipled and equipped to do
friendship evangelism with the help of cutting edge ideas and materials.
Our Purpose:
To assist in
fulfilling the Great Commission by involving adults in the process of lifestyle evangelism
and discipleship through modeling and training.
How to Get Involved:
Consider joining an "Impact Group"
Most of us want to reach
our friends and family with the Gospel. However, we get distracted. Joining an Impact
Group will encourage you to follow through in building friendships and also provide the
resources and ideas you need to be successful. Each month we gather together and reap the
joy of hearing what God is doing through dozens of other Christians who have made a
similar commitment.
Consider attending an "I'm Glad
You Asked" course
This short series will
provide you with the basic answers to the questions people are asking. We will guide you
logically through each of the twelve questions by using helpful flow charts. The end
result will be a new sense of confidence and competence to communicate the eternal message
of God's love.
Consider attending a
"Connexions" series
This twelve-lesson
inductive Bible study is designed for believers who desire to explore the principles and
practices of lifestyle evangelism. In this series you will learn two key principles of
evangelism, how to identify and overcome three barriers seekers have toward Christianity,
and how to build relational bridges of openness for the Gospel message of Christ.
