Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for praying for the people and ministry here as the Lord leads!!!!  “A” and “Clar” have been living in a small trailer at “Clar’s” parents’ place.   They do not have running water or a good heating source so as the weather gets cold so does the trailer.  With a baby and two toddlers they are trying to find a suitable place for the winter.  “A” has a coworker, Kevin, who lives here in Sanders who is a Christian.  Kevin  wants to counsel “A” as he went through much of what “A” has with alcohol and upbringing.  I am very happy to hear “A” wants to meet with him!!  “Clar” has expressed her desire to keep meeting with me as well.  I only want God’s will to be done in their lives whatever way God wills to do it. J

Sarah has received final word that she is to be laid off October 16th.  I am concerned about how she is handling this but have not been able to talk with her the past couple of weeks as she has had to work on Tuesday evenings and was gone over the weekend.  She is still grieving over losing her daughter and feels God took her away and now He’s taking her job, which she was seeing as a ministry, away.  I am in much prayer for her and for myself to have great sensitivity to God’s leading in what to say and when to say it.  It is too easy to sit back, look at someone else’s life and tell them what we think should be said.  That’s what Job’s friends did and they said some things about God that were true, but they were wrong in their whole approach to Job as well as in much of what they said.  I believe it is far better to pray for God’s work in someone’s life than to try to fix them with what I think they need to hear, afterwards find out God wasn’t in it and I’ve wounded their hearts more with my insensitive direct line approach.  Guess how I have been learning that!!!!!!  You got it, the hard way!!!

Alv” went to work in Colorado for only one week as it turned out to be far too demanding physically.  Her knees became so painful she could hardly keep walking so she came back home and has been trying to look for work in Gallup, NM.  I want to have a talk with her to see how I might be able to help her get some kind of a scholarship for Bible school if she still has the desire to go.

I had two young girls taking horsemanship lessons early in the summer but then one moved back to CA and the other had to quit because of the heat.  Now I have a young Navajo man, “J,” and his Anglo girl friend, “E,” taking lessons.  “J” attended release time classes when we were doing them with the elementary school students.  “E” does not seem to be comfortable about anything in the spiritual realm.  I don’t know how “J” sees spiritual issues now but Lord willing I will soon.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support!!  God bless each of you, especially during these tough economic times.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Suitable housing for “A’s” family;
  2. God’s continued healing work in Sarah’s life and job provision;
  3. God’s will in “Alv’s” life;
  4. Wisdom and grace in all my contacts with others for God’s glory and their good;
  5. Continued growth and breakthroughs in my horsemanship study and practice.

In His Care,

Tobie Keiser
