Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for upholding me and those I work with in prayer as the Lord leads you!!!!!!!!  None of us can stand alone, we need the prayers of one another.  I am deeply touched when you tell me you are praying!!!!!

I spoke with the youth pastor, of the church I've been attending, a few weeks ago and found out he does not plan on starting youth group up again.  At that time he had not spoken with the pastor concerning the group.  There has been no group since May.  He strongly encouraged me to start meetings up again at my home.  I have been waiting to hear the outcome of his meeting with the pastor this past week.

A good number of the youth I was hoping to start the meetings with have been involved in steeling three motor bikes from a Yamaha shop in Gallup over the past month.  It was brought to light when two friends informed me of rumors they heard.  One friend visited last Sunday evening and told me these boys were riding around on three new stolen bikes.  The boys are friends with her son but had recently been told they couldn't see each other anymore, so they would meet at the neighbor's house.  The neighbor, who is friend, came over to my home the next day to tell me the boys hid a brand new bike behind some old cars at her home and she didn't want to be responsible.  I spoke with the mother of two of the boys then we went up to see if there was a new bike being hidden at the friend's home on the rez.  Sure enough, we found the bike.  After calling the Yamaha shop we found out there were two other bikes stolen two nights prior to our call.  The mother got the serial numbers and compared them with the bike at her home and found a match.  She talked to her oldest son and found out he had stolen all three bikes.  He also gave the names of the others involved.  The bike at her home was never under suspicion because of a carefully crafted lie backed up by one of her daughters.  We called the sheriff who came and took a report Monday evening.  Nothing has happened since that time.  The parents of three of the boys really want them to have the consequences for their actions.  Now we are wondering if the authorities will do anything.  For the one boy this is his fourth time getting caught steeling.  He is very talented with his hands and needs to have this channeled in a positive direction starting with motivation to do so.  Please pray there will indeed be consequences from the law for these boys.  Without it, they will be emboldened to continue.  Please also pray for the convicting work of the Holy Spirit on these boys and wisdom for me in my interaction with them.

Had a great visit with "Alv" Thursday evening.  She shared how she couldn't understand why all the girls she knew would get pregnant right out of high school.  That was a great teaching opportunity.  She has seen much of what her older sister has gone through but didn't understand.  I hope to have been used by the Lord to lay a foundation of understanding that the He can use to help her make wise choices.

Almost daily I thank the Lord for my salvation. : )  I am thankful for His forgiveness, His love, His grace and for His emphasis on relationship with Him instead of performance!!!!  I am greatly humbled that He would choose to use me at all and that He would give me a support team who truly care not only about me, but the people here too!!!  Thank you for praying with me as I plant seeds, water where and when I can and commit the timing of the increase to the Lord. : )
