Dear Prayer Team,

Thank you for your prayers for me and the people here!!!!  I truly enjoy having Sarah in Ladies' Bible study.  She is so expressive of what she is learning even when it involves changes she sees she needs to make.  In late May due to school activities it was just Sarah and me for Bible study.  That turned out to be a special time as I shared what had been laid on my heart during prayer for her.  We've been studying about the consequences of complaining and choosing not to trust the Lord.  I've been praying my way through this with fear and trembling because of Sarah's grief and disillusionment over losing her daughter.  That night in May was real heavy on me so I pursued that with the Lord even more.  I have personally grieved for Sarah in her loss many times over the past two years and this was another time.  It was impressed on my heart that Sarah has a greater ability to understand God's heart in losing those He loves than I do.  He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, sadly we know most perish for lack of repentance.  As I shared that with her more fully she began to cry then she said she had hope renewed.  She again affirmed her desire to minister to her people when she retires.  My prayer is that she will soon be a partner with me to reach out to her people.

Through her time of grief and struggle Sarah has found it difficult to have personal time with the Lord.  In a recent Bible study she commented how one day she's up and another day she's down in the dark pit all smashed out.  This led into the importance of personal time with the Lord which I have been stressing more and more lately.  I shared my own personal journey in my view of devotions/quiet times from my teenage Bible school years to now.  I started out seeing devotions as a Christian duty, one way to be in favor with God or not.  Now I see time with Him as essential for preparation to face the day and start off with some peace and joy.  I need His protection against the enemy and sometimes have to get refocused again during the day, but if I go charging into the day without taking time to be with the Lord I am out in the battle without any armor, open prey!!!!!!  Sarah spoke right up saying she believed me for she has seen the difference in me from the first time we met until now.  My heart was glad that she was beginning to see the critical importance of time with the Lord.

My helper "Alv" got herself a full-time summer job this week with the summer youth program.  This means I need help from other sources especially this time of year!!!!  My friend owns the land I live on and use with the horses.  She wants the bullheads/puncture vines stopped from taking over the land.  They are well on their way!!!!  They start coming up in June and don't stop until freezing weather comes in the fall.  Last year that was late November!!!!!  These things taught me to wear leather gloves when working with the horses or doing anything with the soil.  There are many games you do not play on the land here because they are a pain wherever you happen to land on them!!!!!  Your blood pressure can rise real quick if you happen to step on one barefoot in the house!!!!!  I always check my shoes before entering but most of my visitors do not.

My six week Parelli course starts August 24th!!!!  I'm praying for someone to stay here at least at night while I'm gone.  There will be yard work that will need to be done too.  My friend Nancy will not have time to do yard work as school will be back in session during that time.  I would like to have security lights installed both outside my home and the horse barn before leaving.  I talked to a friend who gave me a list of items to buy so I went to Home Depot to get a cost estimate and found the employee didn't know what half the items were that my friend listed.  If any of you are electricians and have the time may be you could call me and help me figure out what these items should be named?

Thank you for your prayers once again and for your support as the Lord leads you!!!!!!!!!

In His Care,

Tobie Keiser
