Change for Life
This Mother's Day, we invite you to participate in our "Change for Life." Pick up a baby bottle and fill it with spare change. Don't miss this chance to help Care Net provide help and support for young mothers and their unborn children. Together we can make a huge impact reaching out to people in need.

Work Day
Curt Redecker is putting together a work day to get some maintenance done on the grounds. All volunteers are invited to join us on Saturday, May 17, from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Please bring your own gardening tools.

Memorial Day Tribute
We want to put together a Memorial Day tribute for those serving in the armed forces. If you have any family members who are currently serving in the military, we would like to include them. Please drop off a photo of them at the church office, or email it to Jan at contact@faith-community.com.

Faith Fishing Trip
A deep sea fishing trip is scheduled for Saturday, June 7. Since this boat is not chartered, the cost is only $60 per person. If you would like to join us, please call Captain Hook's at (805) 382-6233 on or after May 7 and make a reservation on the Island Spirit. Please call Pastor Gary when you have a confirmed reservation so we can provide further instructions.

New Study Opportunities
We want to invite you to check out two new Bible study opportunities:
- A men's study on systematic theology is taught by Pastor Mark on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. We meet at the home of Curt Bedlion in Quartz Hill.
- A women's study is currently going through the book of Daniel. This class is taught by Robin Webb on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. We meet at the home of Celestine Webster in Lancaster.
For more information or directions for either of these studies, please call Pastor Mark at the church office.

Missionaries of the Month
Dave and Linda Ludwig serve with Quest Ministries right here in the Antelope Valley. Their mission is to inspire and equip believers in the AV to reach out to unsaved individuals that God has placed in our path. People all around us are heading for an eternity without Christ unless someone loves them enough to reach out to them and communicate the good news of Jesus Christ. The ministry of Quest believes that relationship building is the key to effective outreach.
Care Net is a nationwide organization of over 600 pregnancy centers ministering in a godly manner to women in crisis and needing a place to turn. They provide free pregnancy testing, counseling, and support after the baby has arrived. The ultimate aim of Care Net is to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ in both word and deed. As a result, the hearts of women and men are being changed by Christ's love to desire positive and healthy choices. In addition, those struggling with past abortions are finding God's healing and forgiveness. With the support of Care Net and its network of pregnancy centers, people facing unplanned pregnancies are choosing life and hope every day.

Opportunity to Serve
If you are looking for a way to serve God, we invite you to be a part of the meals ministry. This ministry organizes meals for new moms and others in need, such as those recovering from surgery, grieving a death in the family, or taking care of a terminally ill family member. If you would like to be a volunteer that blesses a family in need with a meal, please contact the church office.

Coffee Cart
Looking for a warm beverage on a cool morning? Check out what the coffee cart has to offer. It's open for business on Sunday mornings just outside the church worship center on the patio. All proceeds go toward helping students go to summer camp.

Helping Those In Need
From time to time, we have people within our church with financial needs. We work through our elders and deacons to help meet those needs. While you are, of course, free to help someone in need, we recommend that you give through the deacons' fund or check with one of our elders before giving of your finances.

Prayer Chain
Women who would like prayer requests passed via the internet can email Laura Cox at prayer@faith-community.com. If you are a part of our email prayer chain and have recently changed your address or have not been receiving the emails, please be sure to contact Laura and let her know.
